Satan repackages the same old lie by telling us to “follow our hearts,” convincing us that the best direction for life comes from within—even though Scripture says our hearts are broken, deceptive, and incapable of leading us toward what’s truly good. While feelings and desires can be helpful indicators of what’s happening inside us, they’re like dashboard lights—they can’t tell us which road to take or where our choices ultimately lead. Only God, who sees the whole map, can give real direction, which is why His Word—not our impulses—is the true guide for a wise, flourishing life. The call is simple: don’t follow your heart; follow God’s Word—rooting yourself in His wisdom, relying on it daily, and discovering the peace and clarity that come from letting Him lead.
