It’s dangerously easy for Christians to drift off course, doing all the “right” religious things while quietly abandoning the core action of loving others. Jesus’ words to Ephesus show that real love isn’t about feelings but about concrete, sacrificial action toward people, and missing that puts us miles from God’s intended destination. Our church faces the same temptation today: to feel “on target” because of holiness, doctrine, and perseverance, while overlooking the equal call to actively love our neighbors.
